"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Accordingly, a 5-carat diamond weighs 1 gram. The diamond of your choice weighs carats and measures approx. 6.54 - 6.58 x 4.07 mm.

Diamanten der Farbstufe „J“ bewegen sich gerade noch im „near colorless“-Feld. Sie sind nicht farbrein oder weiß, sondern leicht getönt, an der Grenze zu „getönt“. Bei der Einfassung in Schmuckstücke, besonders bei Gelbgold, ist die leicht gelbliche Färbung jedoch kaum festzustellen. Grad-J-Diamanten sind dementsprechend eine sehr gute Wahl für alle, die preisbewusst die Schönheit echter Diamanten genießen wollen.

Clarity: VVS2

Bei Diamanten der Reinheitsstufe „VVS2“ sind die Einschlüsse ebenfalls extrem klein, aber etwas leichter erkennbar als bei VVS1-Diamanten. Die Einschlüsse sind möglicherweise auch zentraler platziert, dennoch beeinträchtigen sie die Klarheit und Brillanz des Diamanten kaum und sind weiterhin für das bloße Auge unsichtbar. Diamanten mit VVS2-Reinheit kreieren ein hervorragendes Gleichgewicht zwischen Reinheit und Wert und zählen deshalb zu den besonders beliebten Exemplaren.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
