"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. For fancy coloured diamonds, the intensity of the colouring is divided into nine levels. "Fancy Intense" s the sixth of the nine intensity levels, in which the colour is particularly pronounced. It dominates the diamond and makes it a remarkably eye-catching piece – both on its own and in a jewellery setting.

Diamonds of clarity grade "SI2" have a slightly larger number of visible inclusions, which are easy for experts such as gemologists and jewellers to recognise. The location of the imperfections is crucial here, as the inclusions can be barely visible if the piece of jewellery ultimately worn fits correctly, making it an excellent compromise between quality and a slightly lower budget.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
