"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Colour: E

Diamonds whose colour grade has been rated "E" by GIA are colourless or very fine white and are just behind the highest rated grade "D" on the colour scale. They are in the top category, "colourless". The difference in colour from the highest grade is only visible to professional gemmologists when compared with sample stones. Diamonds of colour grade "E" are therefore among the most valuable specimens in terms of colour.

Clarity: VVS2

In VVS2 diamonds, the inclusions are also extremely small, but somewhat easier to detect than in VVS1 diamonds. The inclusions may also have a more central position, but they hardly affect the clarity and brilliance of the diamond and are still invisible to the naked eye. Diamonds with VVS2 clarity create an excellent balance between clarity and value and are therefore among the most popular specimens.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
