"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. For fancy coloured diamonds, the intensity of the colouring is divided into nine levels. Diamonds in the fifth category, "fancy", shine with a striking, clearly perceptible intensity of colour. The hue stands out in a way that makes the colour a central feature of the diamond – and often a coveted collector's item or piece of jewellery, too.

In VVS2 diamonds, the inclusions are also extremely small, but somewhat easier to detect than in VVS1 diamonds. The inclusions may also have a more central position, but they hardly affect the clarity and brilliance of the diamond and are still invisible to the naked eye. Diamonds with VVS2 clarity create an excellent balance between clarity and value and are therefore among the most popular specimens.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
