Diamonds of purity grade "VS1" have small inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification, but appear barely detectable to the naked eye. Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone.
